Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that forward Justin Feser of the Tri-City Americans is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending February 24 after recording 13 points in three games including six goals and seven assists along with a plus-minus rating of plus-7.
Feser led the Americans to three straight victories and was named first star of all three games beginning last Tuesday night when he recorded his third hat-trick of the season including the game-winner plus an assist in a 5-4 win over the Vancouver Giants. On Friday night he scored two goals and two assists in a 6-2 win over the Everett Silvertips, then wrapped up the week on Saturday recording his first career five-point game with a goal and four assists in an 8-1 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Feser, a 20-year-old from Red Deer, AB, is playing in his fifth WHL season with the Americans and is currently fifth in league scoring with 92 points scoring 38 goals with 54 assists. On Tuesday night, Feser tied a WHL record by playing in his 311th consecutive game equaling Dwayne Newman of the Brandon Wheat Kings and Victoria Cougars from 1988-92.
