KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Losing three games in a row is never part of anyone's plan. Stretching the skid to four games wasn't going to happen, especially on home ice.
Malte Stromwall scored the game-winner at 6:59 of the third period, and Justin Feser added two assists as the Tri-City Americans beat the Everett Silvertips 3-2 on Friday night before a crowd of 3,910 at Toyota Center to end a three-game slide.
"It's wasn't a pretty game, but we got the job done," said Feser, who tied Patrick Holland and Ian McDonald for 12th on the team's all-time list with 145 career assists. "We did what we had to do in the third to keep them off the board. Our fans have supported us through the losses and it was nice to reward them with a win."
The Americans (10-6-1-1, 22 points) have beaten Everett (6-10-0-2, 14 points) five consecutive times, including all four meetings this season.
