Notes: Last season, "Schmitty" established himself as a rugged two way defenseman who plays tough in-our-face hockey in the defensive zone, but can also contribute in a number of ways offensively. Tyler has notched over 100 PIMs the past two seasons and combining 19 pounds of added muscle with his intense demeanor will make him a tough player to play against. Always one to stick up for his teammates, Schmidt is a player who refuses to take a step back when met with a physical challenge. His presense on the ice gives confidence to the Americans younger and smaller players.
